The Citation II jet is a legend in the world of light business jet aircraft.
When it hit the market, the Cessna Citation II business jet redefined how business aviation saw private aircraft travel.
Built by Cessna, it is also known as the Citation 550 and 551, and has more cabin space and greater reach than other jets in its class. After 16 years in production, the Citation II is still Cessna’s bestselling private jet.
Cessna introduced the Citation II in the 1980s in response to the growing demand for light commercial aircraft. It can fly at altitudes of 43,000 feet, above any inclement weather – and with a climb speed of more than 3,000 feet per minute, it reaches a comfortable cruising altitude very quickly.
